Framestore’s Immersive team was commissioned to create experiential media for “Air by Kenzo Digital” -- a first of its kind contemplative art piece within the SUMMIT observation deck of SL Green Realty’s newest Midtown skyscraper, One Vanderbilt.
Working within the mesmerizing mirror and light-filled environment designed by Kenzo, “Unity” is an interactive installation that utilizes realtime visuals and guests’ own likeness to amplify their journey through the space.. Using Epic’s Unreal Engine to create a high-fidelity, volumetric cloudscape that displays participating guests' faces in realtime, it also reacts to the various times and colors of the day. Located on the 92nd floor, ‘Unity’ runs on a 47.5 x 12 foot Samsung digital LED wall, displaying a full-screen realtime animated cloudscape that pushes the boundaries of Unreal Engine’s built-in volumetrics system.

To give guests an unforgettable memento from the ‘Transcendence’ experience at SUMMIT, we created an elaborate takeaway system allowing visitors to have a unique, artistic photograph in the room of infinite reflections, thanks to full-body 3D scans and a realtime render of the room.
