Adding to Google Search AR’s rich library, Framestore worked with Google to create a new suite of AR experiences focusing on athletes. Users can preview, place, view, and interact with 3D versions of ten of the biggest names in sports (including Simone Biles, Naoma Osaka and Steph Curry) within their very own environment.
To faithfully represent the unique skill and precision of these athletes, Framestore worked alongside photogrammetry and motion capture partners to oversee the authentic likeness and performance capture of each athlete, before optimizing the 3D assets for Google’s own AR platform.
